So bought a set of ENA coils like 5 years ago apparently, technically still works and all, though did go through an engine during it. Put in a order for a set of NGKs, though there really a point in the 4x price difference?

Side note, never bothered changing the plugs the first time around, think it's still at 60k miles though and do have the plugs, bout time or shouldn't matter to much?

Change the plugs, change the wires if you can, since you got into changing coils.

BHRs are at $100 per, NGK's like $40-60 per and even those I'm not 100% sure if they're worth over the ENA ones which technically work and don't cause an engine light but probably far from the most stable. Which brings back to are any of them worth what they're asking for?

Think I still have wires from way back, think originally was going to do the whole set but then the plugs are bit more inconvenient to get to than the 7 so ended up just ignoring them. Coils iirc was really just removing the air intake.

Though I suppose while it's double the price, the price difference is only like $200, so if they're solid coils and worth not having to deal with whatever that comes up then probably put an order in, assuming my other order cancels.

They are more but if you dont have to replace them every 10-20k it’s worth it plus the unknown damage from the others not working.

I got +45k miles out of my SakeBomb IGN1A kit.
Probably the most expensive option, but bulletproof, imo.
I replaced my old BHR kit with it for the hell of it.
There are several threads discussing the Mercury IGN1A coils.

Well, I'm certainly no purist ...Lol. I've been running Blue Streak ignition coils (UF262) on my boosted set-up since July 2019. $47 /ea. with a LIFETIME warranty from O'Reillys. No issues ...misfires, etc. so far.

Ended up going with BHR, actually shipped the next day, 5 year warranty and they say suppose will last 11+, so we'll see.

Non oem format coils really just require some way to mount them right, that and possibility the wiring won't line up?

Chevrolet LS7 coils with an adapter harness. Won't break down like the OEM ones will.

BHR coils bolt right up to the factory mount plate..it was an easy swap with the OEM coils.

I'm 12 years and 110,000km into my original BHR set. Tested annually, so far so good.

Aye, just meant some of the others that people have mentioned.

Recieved my BHRs, they've actually got a relatively small aluminium heat sink attached to the base, though not terribly sure how much that would matter. Slight bit more weight compared to the presumably oems that were pulled out ages ago, moulding also a little bit thicker. Will probably go in later in the week.
