Mind you, its stock. So I wrote him saying "Just to let you know, you are way off with the hp. Stock hp rating is 232-238ish at the crank, puts down about 180-190 at the wheels. Unless your turbo'ed, then thats what you put down. Most you might put down NA would be 200 to the wheels. Just want the facts straight."
He wrote me back saying "Thats what the dealership told me. Are you interested is buying or are you just trying to be a dipshit?"
This makes me mad for a few reasons.
1. Ignorant RX8 owners, who don't know their car.
2. Ignorant stupid dealerships/salesmen who don't know their cars, and misinform buyers just to make a sale.
Blah.

bro, he knows what hes doing. He was just pissed that someone called him out on it. I would reply no Im not trying to be a dipshit but you should change it before I flag the ad.
#3
Haha. I did flag it already because how he replied. Yet I first checked back to see if he changed it.

I went to the biggest and best (really good service) Mazda dealer here in San Antonio a while back to look at the new 8's and I asked about the availibility of the R3 and none of the saleman had a clue what it was, they kept showing me Touring models. It frustrated me enough to just leave but it saved me from an impulse buy because the loaded Touring models were nice. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go to the dealer.

Not me, lol.
Hell, when I was a salesman, those were the cars I knew the most about bc I thought they were cool
EX- I was an internet manager for a Nissan Dealer and I knew everything there was to know about a nismo 350Z. However if you asked me about options on a Versa I would stumble haha.

Well it looks like he finally came around. My response to the last message was this.
"I'm trying to keep you from getting harassed more. No need to get offensive, just don't want to misrepresent the RX8. I currently own one. I love it. The dealership told you wrong, which is normal. Most dealerships and especially car salesmen don't know **** about the rotary, how it works, why it works, its special needs, etc. But just so you have your facts straight, it puts down 232-238hp at the crank, and 160ft lbs torque at the crank."
And he replied with this.
"Thanks dude. yah you know how dealership go. I hate to have to sell this car. I love it. whatever the numbers are, all I know is its fast and extremely fun to drive. But thanks for the heads up and sorry to be a dick. See you on the road. What year do you have?"
Maybe he realized after his *** got flagged. Oh well, haha.
