I'm having problems with my car! NEED HELP!

Hey guys, Sorry for the long post.... pleace read it and try to help me figure out the problems.

I just got my car yesterday from the bodyshop after being there for over a month and a half. As some of you may know my car has been through a big transformation process. It got a body kit, (stock wing, which I didn't have before) Tein S Tech springs (lowered it 2 inches), repainted my car white, getting new wheels (powercoating em gold) anyways here is the problem:

Yesterday Morning at 11am. I picked up my car from the shop. I drove it alot trying to get back into the addiction. There didn't seem to be any problem... everything was jus going fine.

After i drove it quiet a bit I let it rest for a couple of hours and at 9pm I took it out and went to a friend's house and while I was there I let it rest for an hour or so before I started the car again.

My car turned on fine but my taillights and my dashboard lights wouldn't work. (I forgot to mention I have a PUNCH sub audio system 800watts.) My system was going insane at max volume... (without me even turning on my radio) and the funny thing is I was not able to control the volume for the sound! cuz all my Dashboard buttons were not lighting up and at the same time were inactive for some reason. which was so weird! And also my Check engine light came on err WTF?!

I also forgot to mention that I was having problems with my gears shifting (while on automatic mode). While I was driving home from the shop yesterday, on the Highway when I tried revvin passed 5-6rpms While I was in automatic mode (this was when the engine was fully heated), my car wouldn't shift up/down and it jus stays on that same gear until no matter how slow I went (this was only when I drove it aggressively like pressing on the gas hard, but when I drove it with ease the gears shifting up and down fine) whats the problem? I called the shop and asked about this issue and they we're telling me that they didn't mess with the transmission at all, that I have to take it to the dealer to see whats wrong! *UGH! **** the dealer*

****! The car has been at the bodyshop for over a month and half and the problems start again! grrr. Before I took my 8 to the shop it was performing like a dream car. Idk what they did or whats going on! Need help! Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I took it to checkers today, to diagnose to see if it was the battery at fault but the battery was in very good condition. But i didn't bothering getting a CEL code read for my car b/c one of my 8 friend's suggested me not to do so at that place (Idk why) he was telling me to get it diagnosed at the dealer.

I'm not to sure. When I've called and asked the shop they are sayin they are not responsible for wiring problem. They are claiming that they only took out the door panels to paint and thats it. They didn't touch any wiring that's what they claim which i dont agree. I have to take it on tuesday anyways... I'm getting new rims and I'm taking it to the same shop I will make sure that they resolve this problem.

One thing I know has effected some at least along the lines of the stereo is the faceplate not in all the way. Give it a good whack, maybe it will work.

But at best that just solves your sub problem so it is almost certainly not that.

Difficult is the life of a man that mods his car when the only tool he knows how to use is a credit card.

A ton of wiring has to be unhooked when you do the work you had done to it. Just sounds like some things weren't hooked back up correctly. Start with the area behind the tail lights....make sure nothing is shorted.

Ultimately it's the shops responsibility to get it hooked back up right, so you can take it to them. With all the custom stuff, the dealership is going to charge you an arm and a leg to diagnose/fix it.

Yup, he's right. I'd imagine they took the bumpers off, or at least the lights. So if they did that they were dicking with the electrical system. Meaning they are lying to you. If you catch them in a lie, they'll fix it for you.

They SHOULD just do it anyway... But people will do anything to save a buck, even if it means losing a customer...

My guess (I'm not psychic) would be they borked the turn on signal for your amp.

Find out where they (or you) tapped into the 12v to turn on your Superfantastic audio setup - if they took power around the dash, they may have blown the 'room' fuse, making the computer controls 'brain dead'.

Check the fuses, all of them.

The front fusebox and the footwell box.

I'm sure one is gone and that is your problem.....

Yep I'm also thinking they popped a fuse while doing the bodywork.
As suggested take a look at all fuses in both panels.

The car is trying to compensate for the lack of voltage. IMO

Today while driving my 8.. I've noticed, that there was an unusual rubber burnt smell coming from under the driver's seat compartment. I took it to checkers to ask what might be wrong... and they are sayin my clutch is burning up. What can I do about this? The tech there says I should get my fluids flushed or somethin like that. B/c he says my transmission fluid must be clogging up.
