the 4 point stuts are good from autoexe. the mazdaspeed strut is pretty cool. but really any strut is fine, since most of it is for looks.

Get him some clear corners instead.

Clear sidemarkers are accepted anywhere: http://www.mazdaparts.com/CategoryPr...rior&offset=20

Gets rid of the amber corner lights on the fenders

or hook him up with some valve stem caps if you want something less expensive...

Might as well get the rear strut bar before the front as it is non-existant. Front is stock.

except the MS strut has a brake cylinder brace which lessens firewall flexing while hard braking. Very cool.

^ very true.

The MS strut brace, rear strut brace or in the same cost neighborhood... Racing Beat REVi intake... better yet... radiator and oil cooler screens. Both Racing Beat and Hymee Enhanced offer them. The prices should be more what you're looking for.

I don't see why you would get a strut brace for the front, at least not immediately. It already has one! I know that they aren't all created equal, but I don't think it would be first in my mind. A good rear roll bar would probably be first in my book, since the 8 has some roll issues stock.

Did you mean sway bar to lessen body roll or did you really mean roll bar to protect the occupants if the car rolls over?

I think the RX-8 has THE lowest roll potential for any stock car; I don't think the 8 has a real problem with roll, just with body lean in wicked tight cornering (which this car seems to make you want to do).

The Radiator and oil cooer screen from Racing Beat are the best buy and a need modification.

I agree. It may not be as "cool" as a strut bar, but certainly helps keep your A/C radiator and oil coolers free of damage.

I'm placing my vote for the Clear Corners. It's a MUST-HAVE modification and is much more affordable than the MS tower brace.
