Don't know if anybody is still up or interested, but a pair of RX8s will be making a morning trek up Angeles Crest highway tomorrow morning (Sunday, 8-1).

If anyone is interested in joining us, be at the Shell station in La Canada just south of the 210 freeway and Angeles Crest (N2) by 8:30 am...we will leave shortly after gassing up.

Where are we going, you ask? Well, we're gonna leave La Canada via Angeles Crest and drive up to Wrightwood, take a break, then head west down Lone Pine through Vallermo, skirt the backside of the mountains, hook up with Angeles Forest highway just below the 14, and then come back down to La Canada via Upper Big Tujunga. Sound like fun? See you there!

Just look for the Titanium RX8 with the license plate "2004 RX8" and the silver RX8 with the plate "XRATED8". :D

The weather was perfect and the views spectacular! I'll try to give a little longer notice next time, this time we decided on the direction and time at about 2:00 am Sunday morning.

Is anybody from the LA basin interested in this kind of entertainment? Yeah, I have the gas mileage issue like nearly everyone else, but hey, if you want to have fun, sometimes you just gotta pay the price of admission, you know?

PS: Coming from west to east on Upper Big Tujunga today, we saw the remains of a red Corvette that had been going in the opposite direction when it just up and decided to turn itself into a pinball and bounced off a few cliff walls on either side of the road...ugly stuff.
