You just stick it in the exhaust pipe.. I doubt it cares what kind of engine you are using.. Though if anything you will get a loss in performance in exchange for the noise..

Mostly concerned about the power issue as stated by you as well as the rotary exhausts melting point as u know rotary exhaust run mighty hot.

I am tryng to get an increase in the original rotary exhaust noise but this mod has given me some good ideas.

a couple of other things you could do are to cut off the stock tips and add some aftermanket resonated tips so you wouldnt lose the actual flow. also you might be able to remove the pipes after the muffler and drill a few extra holes inside the muffler though not through the external casing just through the internal baffles. typically what happens when an exhaust goes out normally is that those baffels rust through and the spot welds come loose from the muffler housing. I can tell you this will definately increase your exhaust note and depending on the holes size etc. you may also gain some performance. My 240sx's muffler is currently belly up and sounds just like a rice/resonated exhaust. problem is I dont want to replace it until I can get a RB25det to stuff under the hood. you wouldnt happen to have a spare would you. I know that you lucky guys in Australia get the skyline.

Michael, if you are going to get Canzoomers stage 2, I think you might be fine with your stock exhaust. The stage 2 mod requires a high heat resistant, free flow cat which will unleash more power and sound than any muffler or cat back system will. Canzoomer also likes the Borla exhaust and he thought that added a little extra to his Mod. So if you want to save some money just wait, or have a muffler shop weld bigger pipes and install a universal free flow muffler if it's cheaper than importing!
