Instalation of Stainless Steel Exhaust Shields/Protectors

Is there a Thead on how to instal these Stainless Steel Exhaust Shields/Protectors, Already did a search. The instructions I got are really complicated. To install these I have to disconect the Battery??? I was like what the!!! Do you have to take the whole rear bumper and lights off just to put on the Stainless Steel Exhaust Shields/Protectors ???? Maybe I was miss reading them, cause it was just before going to bed. I am here at work, and I am going over it off the top of my head, and it seems to be a big do it yourself job for just two items.

in your bumper, are little screw thingies. You turn it with a screw driver, and pop it out. Then the black area around your exhaust tips will unclip and slide out. You then screw the exhaust finishers into it, and slide it back. Snap it in, put back the screw things and you're done.

I don't see a reason to disconnect the batt.

That's what I was thinking, cause the shrouds have to come out when installing an Exaust system, when using 2 floor jacks to elevate the 8. I will Post the Directions Rosenthal Mazda sent (Comically Confusing) .

Thanks Jason Hamilton

They are called exhaust finishers, and there is a DIY available for installation. Insert exhaust finishers in search engine or look in DIY.

The only reason I know about how to remove them is because I removed one when installing my borla. After removing one, I noticed that they didn't need to come out for the install afterall. Just take the old exhaust off the hanger and you can slip it out no prob.

I had the car up on two ramps (rear wheels only), not a lot of room to move.

I installed them myself in my driveway. It was VERY easy to do.
