Question Insurance

Hi there! I'm about to buy an RX-8, probably this weekend. I'm wondering how much your insurance is? The salesman said that it isn't as bad as you would think because of the safety features. But I'm just curious as to what the insurance may be.

Mine is approx 2,000 a year, but I have a lot of speeding tickets. To put things into perspective I was paying 1700 a year for a chevy silverado, and my insurance wanted to charge me nearly 3,000 a year for the 2004 rsx type S and the 2003 mustang mach 1 I was looking at.

Cool Location, location....

Insurance depends more than anything else on your location.

Small town, 'good' record, old fart, I pay about $600 US for a year...

Call around for Insurances rates before you buy. There are too many variables particular to your individual case for any of to guess what you might pay.

Woo hoo.

NJ sucks.

I don't know why the safety features would drastically cut down on insurance costs.

The RX-8 insurance costs are low because of:

1) Engine has a very small rating of 1.3L
2) The car has 4 doors instead of two.
3) The built in immob/alarm.

Basically it should cost around the same as a standard Camery, Accord, Neon, whatever.

Heres what they look for.
1.Your age?
2.How long you have had your license?
3.Your driving record?
4.What kind of car do you have?
