Insurance difference

Currently driving a 2004.5 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 1.8T
Just roughly, will insurance be more or less for a 2004 Mazda RX-8?
And roughly, same question for a 2005 V8 Mustang?

I plan on calling the insurance company tomorrow to find exact numbers.

Also depends on how your insurance company writes up your 8. My company has it as a 4 door 4 cyl car.

I was in the same boat kind of whenever I was getting a new car, had like 2 speeding tickets on my record and I got in a major accident in my 8 and Progressive still carries me.

21 right now and the premiums are like...300ish a month. Hey, hella exspensive, but I'm insured with Full Coverage.

Being a male, and 17, you're going to pay a lot, but like the previous poster said if it's listed as a 4 door 4 cyl car, you're gonna be looking at a good deal. I can't really give you an esitmate as to how much, but for an 8, it shouldn't be too much, but it won't be that cheap either. The payments should go down or stay the same from the GLI. As for the V8, increase. I went from a V6 to a V8 at 17 and uh yeeeeah..it was a lot

I'm 18 and went from a 95 jetta to an 8. It only went up about $180/yr. But i don't have any accidents either.

I'll be 28 on Oct22. Clean driving record, WI resident - was last quoted about $1300/year for full coverage on both my '03 Ford Escort zx2 and the '05 RX8. That's with higher than normal coverage on my liability and I think $500 deductible.

They also told me a few months back they were lowering my rates.

There's no way anyone will be able to give you any useful information here. It's completely dependent on dozens of factors that are personal to each person. I have USAA and plenty of people around here have claimed to get amazing rates on the RX-8 with that company whereas I can insure a Corvette for cheaper than an RX-8. You just have to call the company or go to the website to get useful information.

^ the angry muffin is right.

But in my case, 1.8T Passat to the 8, it went up only marginally, prolly more to do with other factors.
