Italy: RIDICOLOUS pricing!
Hi form Italy!
Today i went to local mazda dealer.. and what? rx-8 has been added on the catalogue at fixed price of ¤34.000 , i.e. $40.000 !!!
it's the full loaded version, you can add only Nav system, eletric
roof and metal color. It come with 6-disc audio system and you CAN'T changhe it with mp3 or neither order w/out it. Dealer don't even know what mp3 is!! Why we are considered so stupid? Why we must pay lots of money more than others and we can't even customize our 8? That's disappoints me a lot. Damn, $40.000!!!!
i'm courious to know how much is the same version in usa, japan
(where you can buy a base 8 for $25k !!) or germany, who uses the same money we use. One thing is sure: if i'll buy an 8 i will buy it in a foreign country such switzerland or germany or spain and import it here. I'm not going to get fucked by those guys.
Sorry for the upset and english errors

I lived in Italy and I do have to admit the car prices are outrageous. I wanted to bring a Ducati State side, but it was actually 2k cheaper for me to buy over here. The bureaucracy and taxes will also kill you, not to mention the fuel. I lived in a small town north of Rome, Marta, about 15 min away from Viterbo. What part of Italy do live in?

Hi all
Hi Desmo, it's fun to find people like you in this forum, who lived here in Italy and understand so well our sad situation about (nice) cars. How weird you got you Ducati for less that how much it costs here, considering they are produced here! and how Euro is strong those days! Dealers just forgot about euro strongness! you are right about fuel (2/2.5 times the price in usa) and burocracy, too.
PS: i live in a town long the Adriatic Sea (in the center/right side of the "boot":p ) called Fano, but i study in another town called Cesena which is very near Modena where Ducati and Ferrari are produced! It's full of Ducati fans here, i also have friends who work in Ducati, who knows about new model *months* before they are on the market.
