I suppose that 3000km in tokyo traffic is a lot of driving so they keep the change intervals low.

I need to run it in but going to Osaka is a bit more than I planned for! :p

Get down to a dealer and see if you can convince them to give you a test drive. Then you can tell the forum and the world if I speak the truth or am just so delirious at getting my 8 that everything seems fantastic!

Not really when you realize that the redline is 8,500 RPM. My Porsche 911 Turbo break in was 5,000 RPM with Redline in that car of only 6,500 RPM, so the strategy of 1,500 RPM less than the redline seems to be consistant.

...Hey, about this baby stuff

At the weekend I filled it up with a collapsable baby bed, a rucksack and a large soft sports bag + a variety of thrown in things like cameras and shoes. The access hole is a little small but once your through that it goes back a long way. The "deeper" part behind the plate is not half as deep as what I was expecting from the pictures. Some of you may have to buy new luggage but if you have soft bags then no probs.
Glad to see you're happy about the storage space - this has been one of my major worries. Guess, my problem has been I'm use to bigger trunk/boot space in my old 1990 Probe hatchback and in my wife's 2000 Passat ... which has a slightly smaller area for storage when compared to my old Probe.

... Maybe we need to start a new thread for parents and the RX-8 ...?

Advice on carseats and what to pack when taking the kids out for an outing that might last a week ... on the road ...

Since the throttle id drive-by-wire, I envisage that the limiter will reduce the throttle rather than cutting ignition or fuel like the Miata limiter.
