Yea my tires were fine they were not that old just dosent look like it in the pictures. Cant get any more pictures of the car its in the towers lot locked up. . . Its not mine any more 
I still have not stopped thanking god... The first guy to yell and see if I was ok after it happened was preacher that was behind me and saw it happened.
I was not the guy on here looking for tires to do 90 in the rain with lol
I didnt notice the DSC flashing or anything but like he said I dont think it would help... I have hydroplaned before and it would flash and I would be fine just let off the gas and dont hit the brakes... This time I believe the puddle was just bigger and I lost it.

I was under the impression as the car feels traction loss it applies selective brakes AND cuts engine power. In a hydroplane situation cutting the power would help - is probably the only thing that could.
You weren't using cruise control at the time, were ya?

DCS/TCS will bite you in the *** when it is wet. It's a godsend most of the time, but not when the car hydroplanes. It will make you crash. It has nearly done it to me, by locking up one tire and putting the car into a spin for no reason.

Sorry to hear about the wreck, those pictures look brutal but as many here have mentioned; the most important part is that YOU are okay.
I've said before: when we need our cars the MOST, they always seem to be there for us. You 8 gave its life so you could walk away.
Take care of yourself, make sure no aches / pains develop over the next few days and if they do, make sure to get checked out.
Good luck on the next car purchase, hopefully this very tough lesson will stick with you for a long time. (that was pretty fast for a wet road)

Of course, 'in line' is identified by where you are pointing the front wheels, and if you are already hydroplaning, then you already don't have any traction or grip, so the wheel locks instantly on any braking at all, and it still doesn't change the vehicle dynamics.
At the mercy of physics at that point, even the DSC is a passenger, until you get grip, then the DSC's reaction could be instantly wrong, and severely wrong.
I am an advocate for keeping it on all the time, but it is still just an aid. It can't save you when the wheels aren't touching a surface it can use. Even ice is better than hydroplaning.
Glad you are ok though, +1 to RX-8's rollover protection...which starts with it's innate stability to avoid getting there in the first place

Yea the DSC I think screwed me after I caught traction because when you Hydroplane you are not supposed to hit the breaks and I think it was for me . . . I did not have the cruise set and it was going out of Murfreesboro toward Chattanooga. . . .As far aas a new car goes I have still not heard anything from the insurance company but when I do I am not sure if I will go newer or older . . . I drive 45 min to and 45 min from work so I am thinking about getting something older with miles already on it and just saving some cash for a while.... Looked at a 94 BMW 325-SI coupe today with 160K miles on it... Very clean for that many miles and being almost 16 years old. . . I just dont know yet.

OH! I forgot to mention the air bags never went off! I dont think I had a HARD impact since my chest is not bruised from the seat belt or anything but still the front bumper was ripped off I would have thought they would have came out! But yes the car held up very well in the roll over.
