It's official
Did the paperwork today at the dealer to pick up a Silver '06 GT 6-speed with side skirts and aftermarket front air dam on it. 19k miles on it. Pick it up Monday trading in my truck, psyched out! ![Lol2](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/lol2.gif)
I'll post pictures once I pick it up.

No, dealer doesn't know since they're aftermarket. I've seen the side skirts on here before so I'll have to search and compare or just let someone call it out when pictures get posted. And thanks y'all. Feels like climbing back into my racing days almost getting personal with the vehicle

OH hell, I'm financing a 2008, so I definitely take a hit. A 5k one at that negotiating it for hours where they initially offered a 6k hit. Even though I could get better for private sale, not easy when you don't have the title and just creates headaches doing that. Way I see it, longer I wait, the more the truck loses value so if I wanted to do it, now's the time.
I had another reason for the 2008 truck I own which reason got lost a week after I bought it. I've always owned trucks and at this point of life not being hitched or married it's time to get my adrenaline rush back since being out of racing for years before I have to resort to god forbid an SUV or minivan down the road.

Car is home and safe. Pictures to come tomorrow. Have to say I'm a wee disappointed with them not cleaning up the interior before handing the keys over including smudges and smears on the door with streaks on the interior. Looks like going to need some conditioning done to it.
On a side note. I notice that on highway speeds I'm hearing a sound alike to that of a straw in a plastic bottle rattling around like someone would imitate. It picks up more with higher speeds. Now generally I feel issues by feel better than most would since I don't have the greatest hearing with some hearing lost so since my racing days I have a VERY good feel for when an engine or something related is having trouble. I didn't pick that up so my guess is it's just the tires on the car. Let me know your thoughts guys

ok, lemme tell ya a little dirty secret about car dealers and used cars.
Worked around and for them long enough to know one thing...
They don't do squat to used cars. Nada, zippo. They get them, look them over and throw them out on to the row. If they have their service department do anything to them, they get charged full price and then it hits them in their precious profit.. Its why they rape you when you trade them in.. Don't fall for the big talk on safety and how much money they put into the car,
they didn't.

It's a faint noise that tends to only occur when going over 50. I doubt it's anything more than trivial.
Yup, I know this. I didn't ask them how much they put in the car I simply asked basic questions aligned with CARFAX to verify the information
All my time any money? Doubtful. Coming from an actual racing background, THAT took all my time and money. This compared to that? Not even close
But it definitely will consume more of my time than a typical DD and the only money I plan on using is upgrades to keep that thing roaring along hopefully without any issues arising.
