Grand Chancellor
A little slower to 100 km/h (62 mph) because of the extra shift and a little more fuel consumption but a faster lap time:

Still looking for verification
Does the iPod integration Module work with the NAV system. I've seen the pic in this thread of the Input Select screen that shows the iPod as a choice. But so far no one has been able to actually verify that it does in fact work. I'm trying to convince my salesperson that it does work (why else would there be an on-screen selection) but the car I want is coming from a different dealer and my dealer doesn't have any NAV equipped 8's. Can anyone please verify this for me?
SWSDuvall I pm'd you and never heard anything back.

beautiful car man...i like the new bumper. I wonder if someone is going to start selling the new bumpers for the older models. I though it may have been a perfect fit (just hoping I guess)...then i noticed that on the newer ones that the crack is diagonal but on the older ones like my 2004, they are horizontal. But congrats on the new car buddy.

Oil change update
Hi all!
Just got home from the dealer (well, actually a few hours ago as it's 10:30p now). Had the first oil change done. Also had them drain the tranny and diff and put in Redline in both.
As well all have found out, redline "is the bomb" Shifting is even smoother now!
I didn't have a camera - sorry There is an aluminum cover plate over the bottom of the engine - held in by 7 bolts. Once the plate is removed, the flat oil pan is exposed. The oil drain plug is a FLUSH ALLEN HEAD BOLT! And the oil filter is about 3" above the oil pan - but the drain path is nice and clear.

Thanks for making the PDF manual available.
It's interesting to note that they explicitly say not to use synth/semi-synth oil because it could worsen starting performance...
It's also interesting to note that they basically admit they went with 5W-20 for fuel economy reasons:
"A chief contribution this type of oil makes
to fuel economy is reducing the amount of
fuel necessary to overcome engine
friction."
Does this vary from the 04-08 manuals?

Yeah, that sucks. I'm really surprised to hear that. Of course, I'm always skeptical of mag 0-60 times. Literature for the 07 Subaru Legacy GT says 5.1 from Motortrend. NOT A CHANCE.
I like the new features of the 09. Especially the auto climate control, auto headlights and especially the integrated radio/nav. I really think the first gen should have had these features. At least the auto climate and headlights.
The rear of the car looks AWESOME! I'm not sold on the way the front looks, but I haven't seen it in person. If they offered the two tone red/black interior I would probably trade my 07 in.
Congrats on the car. It's an awesome vehicle. Good choice and I'm jealous!

Not quite all; but enough to get going with + we'll add more parts for the '09 as these become available
New RX-8 is '08 model year in Japan, so it's on our Site as an '08
Best!
