JD Powers Initial Quality Survey of RX-8
I received a formal survey from JD Powers re my RX-8 last week, as some you may have also.
For those who did not, this is a fairly detailed survey of about 250 questions covering everything from rating the seatbelts to trunk size, performance, tranny, audio system, NAV, engine sound, tires, comfort level, quality of materials and switchgear, HVAC, etc.
There were no questions on dealer sales practices and service.
It asks you to rate each category and also add desired features and improvements. Lastly, they ask you to give an overall rating.
In my case, I believe this car is NOT perfect but its positive points far exceed the negatives (I won't bore you since there are so many threads on this already). Fortunately, mine has no CEL, flooding, blown engine, .... problems so I gave the RX-8 an overall rating of 9 out of 10.
I am assuming once all the surveys are in we can access the results and get an overall North American picture of what owners think of their RX-8.
