Just been built e-mail
Just received the just been built e-mail.
Hello MARK,
We are happy to inform you that the factory has completed production on your 2004 Mazda RX-8—the car Edmunds.com described as "...more willing at high rpm than even Honda's S2000 because of the rotary's phenomenal smoothness."
Your RX-8's Production Date: 20030527
At present, your Mazda RX-8 is being shipped from our Hiroshima plant in Japan to your local destination port. In about 3-8 weeks, depending on where you live and shipping schedules, the port will release your car and it will be on its on the way to the dealer! We'll let you know as soon as that happens so that you can make arrangements to pick it up.
In the meantime, if you haven't already done so check out the
3D Performance Tour on the Web site, it's truly a unique interactive experience.
Zoom-Zoom,

20030530 for me...
Mazda has done a great job of sending out these e-mails just like they said, even though we know some of them are a bit late...

YAY! 20030530 for me.
Interesting:
"In about 3-8 weeks, depending on where you live and shipping schedules, the port will release your car and it will be on its on the way to the dealer! We'll let you know as soon as that happens so that you can make arrangements to pick it up. "
I'm surprised they'd estimate anything as low as 3 weeks.....

05-23-2003 for my car (VIN ending in 1155). That's the earliest US build date I've seen so far. Also, I've been noticing that all of the automatics are low VIN's but not early build dates. I wonder where the VIN cutoff is.

I got mine.
05-30-2003.
Does that mean, the car is in transit?????
I've always assumed I was part of the 2nd allocation, since my order was finalized sometime in February.
Would this make me part of the first allocation???? Did anyone from the 2nd allocation get this email????
I'm getting EXCITED........
