Just bought a 04 6 Speed RX 8 need help

I just recently purchased a 04 Rx 8 and I was looking for some suggestions to make it faster. I have about 6,000 i can spend on it was wonder what you guys think my best bang for my buck is. Also looking for a cool body kit.

well, how much do you know about performance enhancements in general? the reason i ask is that you can drop some cash on a turbo for the only real major HP gains but wouldn't suggest it if you're just an average joe like me. here's a starting point but you need to search around to answer your own questions.

welcome, and congrats on the 8. ^ is correct. Mods like cat/exh., intake, etc won't add much HP - generally single digit gains per mod. GL, tho. All the answers can be found in the sticky threads in each subforum.

Most bolt-ons like exhaust, intake, etc wont make you that much faster. If you plan on going FI, make sure you do it right.

Turbo is your best bet dude. Bolt on's will give you a few horsepower each but if you're lookin for quick speed definatley a turbo and look into nitrous if you're goin to the track. IDK much about nitrous though. never used it. Good luck with everything though.

Why not spend the $ on a faster car in the 1st place?
Should have bought a Mustang if you want a V8.
