Just bought a 46" Sony LCD TV...
...and brought it home, in the box...in my car Laid the passenger seat down...slid the box in on its back into the back seat, and over the center console, laying long ways in the passenger seat. My wife climbed into the back seat, we shut the doors, and drove home.
I'd have to say, though...there's no way I could have done it in a manual. I had to hold the box up over the shifter the entire way home. Luckily it was only 10-15 minutes.
Still...I couldn't believe it fit!

Due to space limitations where I was putting it, I had to go with 46" as well.
What model number did ya get? Mine is a KDL46NX700, bought it several months ago and am very happy with the purchase so far.
I have it connected to my wireless network in the house as well.

I love all the sync technology. When I turn my ps3 on the tv auto switches to the right channel. Then when I turn the ps3 off it switchs back to the cable box. Same goes for the dvd player. Plus it auto corrects for video games, and theatre mode, brightness in the room etc. Now all you need is netflix instant and your set.

It's a Bravia - KDL 46EX400...not sure what generation it is, or any of that, really. I do know that it really has an amazing picture quality. Maybe not the "best" or the most "cutting edge"...but for the money, my eye certainly isn't complaining from my couch. Was watching Avatar on BluRay tonight and was just continually blown away.

I thought this was a repost at first. No its just another member posting virtually the same thing another member posted a couple months ago. Great! And such an interesting read about how you too can abuse your 8 by cramming **** that you shouldn't be cramming into it. Buy a suv!

We really shouldn't be encouraging more people to buy SUV's for the one day a year when they need to bring a TV home (that could have fit in their car anyway), because there are already way too many people using oversized gas guzzlers for city commuting 365 days/year just so they have it in case they need to move a desk or something.
I guess it's a bad argument (fuel consumption wise) if the alternative is an RX8 though

As for everyone else hatin', why? What's wrong with loving our cars for the versatile vehicles that they are? And, for what it's worth, I didn't get so much as a scuff on the door panel, center console, or the glove box...and I didn't even bother with pillows or blankets for padding. My point in posting any of this was that NO sports car should have any business doing so many of the things the rx8 does with nary a hiccup, much less one so small, with such sublime driver's feel.
I say, quit harping over people finding yet one more reason to love this incredible car.
