I have the same car, and you will love all the looks these cars get. Just watch how many people grab a quick look.

Pics

Pic of the front, i will get some better ones later, yeah the mileage is shitty but oh well i knew that before i bought it, and i dont buy a sports car for the mpg. I will do some test to see if a k&n kit makes the mpg better but i am not worried about it.

oh yeah i feel really good bout the car because i bought the 50,000 mile warranty extension, so now the car is completely covered till 92000 miles. Now i am not worried about buying a used rotary.

Congratulations!!

The RX-8 is a fantastic vehicle, and I like the red color, too.

Did you get MT or AT?

The car comes with a 5yr 60K. So what did you get? 112K?

no the 04 comes with a 3 year 50K powertrain(atleast that is what the dealer said), and it has 42K miles right now. So the one i bought starts now for 50k miles. So that means 50k from 42k it will run out, hence 92000 miles. i got it because i will not have much money now that i bought this so i feel better about owning a used one.

I'm almost positive your dealer is incorrect regarding your powertrain warranty. Initially, the warranty was 50k, but due to the last recall (4206F) and people having major issues with MNAO (Mazda North American Operations), they increased the powertrain warranty to 60k for all 2004, 2005 and (I believe) 2006's. Your car should definitely be covered up to 60k as a result.

Also, a 3 year warranty? Please correct me if I'm wrong someone, but aren't the standard warranty's good for 5 years?

Call MNAO, their number is on their website http://www.mazdausa.com. Give them your VIN number, and they will be able to tell you immediately what your warranty is good for (should def be 60,000).

well it really is moot right now, because the warranty i bought starts from the odometer reading the day i bought it.
