Definitely keep the soob. I'm planing on getting one for next winter. I drive on Blizzaks during winter and the 8 does well with them but an AWD that also gets better mileage would be nice.

I get between 17 and 18 mpg. Part of that may be the cold weather. See what happens this week as we should get into the '60s in CT. I wouldn't get my hopes up for much improvement though.

btw, congrats on the car. Where'd you get it from?

Oh yeah, 74 mph or lower (in 6th) will get you better gas mileage too. Just don't neglect the red line too much.

Oh I won't forget it, I love the fact that I don't even have to look at it and there is nice "ping" that lets me know to shift. I used to drive a Celica GTS and I would have to stare at the thing to make sure I didn't blow the engine when it hit VVTI. I'm not busting on that car because it was great, and got 32mpg, but I like being able to look at the road when I'm reving out.

Thanks, I got it in NJ, but I'm not going to plug them because they have been a pain in the butt and not helpful. My soob gets 26mpg so that saves me about $3 a day each time I drive it. I drive a long way to work. So I guess that's motivation enough to keep it.

Do you think the wrong weight oil might give me worse mileage. I bought it from an acura dealership and they changed the oil.

Yes it can. But keep in mind your millage is not out of the ballpark by any means. This may be as good as it gets.

+1 on 18 mpg... (Now that I don't have a high expectation for better gas mileage, it doesn't sound too bad)

+1 My CD players skips a lot when I play CD-Rs too.

No need to get Kumhos for front wheels... Those tires are not unidirectional like the ones on 350z and I think you can rotate them (but I might be greatly mistaken...someone correct me if I am wrong)

Gratz on your new car!!!
