Thats the dent and scratch on the front passenger fender. It almost doesn't look like it got hit by a door at all but it's the only logical scenario based on how I've parked my car.

And the last picture is in my schools parking lot. I had already parked all the way down at the end but when I saw two lined up and an empty space beside them I just had to go move my car. I'll be throwing most of these pics into the VR thread too.

Nice pix... Being that this car is so rare....what are the odds to be able to park beside not 1 but 2 RX-8's and then RED to boot... lol. (And it's not even a Car Meet)

Congrats on the car.

Really sorry to hear about the incident, this is my fear realized. I also park far away in lots and away from people just to avoid doors banging into the 8....

A heads up on your moon roof wind deflector - it'll scratch your paint. I ended up taking it off right after buying the car. I like the look better without it anyway.

Yeah I want to take it off but I'm not yet sure how to. I prefer the look without it but it was on there when I bought it. How does it scratch the paint? I'll pull that plate holder off when I get time to myself this weekend. These military academies don't let you slack much.

Deflector removal couldnt be easier. Screws on the top loosen clamping device. Thats it. Dont know if it will scratch the car as mine came off the moment I got the car home from the dealer. There were some small marks in the clear coat, however.

1.) The deflector is held on there by two screws. Take it off now before it's too late as it will scratch your paint(like has been said). When you remove the two screws from the top of the deflector, pull straight up on the deflector....don't let it slide around. Once up and removed you will see that there are just to little clips that the screws were in and those lift right out of the track they are in.

2.) Lose that front plate holder at all costs! As someone else said.

3.) Clear corners!

4.) Congrats, enjoy, and it will take quite awhile to wipe that smile off your face.

5.) Welcome to the addiction!

I think it just wiggles around from the vibration and wind. Either way, ditch it.

Ok, well I pulled the deflector off without a problem, really easy. Very minor scratches but other than that should be fine. I should be able to buff them out without any trouble. Couldn't get the front plate mount off since I only brought a screwdriver set with me and I didn't realize that it would have bolts. Silly me. Other than that I freaking hate Colorado and can't wait to get out of here. Hopefully buying snow tires in the summer will save me a penny or two that I can use to pay for the drop in fuel efficiency.
