The R3 trim only comes in this color, at least for 2011. The sport suspension with the Bilstien shocks gives great road feedback.

Nice! Indeed, that color is the only one available for the 2011 R3. The Velocity Red Mica is really growing on me. It has such a striking visual effect against the sunlight.

Just curious, why did you go with a 2011 when there's still a good number of new 2010 R3s around the country? Significant different in price between the two years.

Perhaps you got a hell of a deal on that one

Either way, that's one awesome ride you got there

Nah, never a dumbass when it comes to getting an 8. Sweet car and something to be said for the final year.

Wow, you got the latest of the latest... Congrats!

Enjoy it, and don't forget to take it to the track so that you can better understand what this incredible sports car is about.

I envy you, deeply.

But glad to see you found your way here, and with a very beautiful R3 at that. Is this your first rotary, or have you had some in the past?

No, I owned a used 1981 RX-7 when I was younger. Had it for 6 years, 2 motors. I have wanted an 8 for years now. Kids grown up, house paid off, etc. It was time!

One possible advantage is the more-standard "square" radio (it's at least shown that way in the Mazdausa site for the nav option.)

Ya R3 suspension is done really well and I love it. I don't know if the Stance GR in the box is going to be better.... at least for the road.

^ i'll be honest 2 things are stopping me... i like having a sun roof, and the riccaro seats are sooo uncomfortable, im 6'1 and 230lbs , my waist fits perfectly but my back is compressed between the seat, also i would feel like i'm throwing my current 8 under the bus for a newer one. Who knows who would buy my old and how it would be treated
