Just got an RX-8, Tips needed

I just recently got an rx8, but it's an '04 and it's used. I couldn't afford to get a new one. The old owner took great care of it and it's running great. I have no experience with owning a manual, even owning my very own car or with cars period. The reason I got this car is I like how it looks and also the great stuff I've heard about it from different people. I need any advice and tips to help keep the car running great. Let me know also how I can fix the problems if they are fixable. Thanks

Find the owners manual... read it... follow the instructions. Pretty easy, huh?

This club forum is the best source, bar none. Go back to the main portal page and see how it is divided into sub-forums. Once you go down one or more layers, you can find find a "Search" button at the right-hand end of the gray menu bar (top of page). Put in some keywords about the topic you need to find and Voila!! you will probably fiond more threads than you care to read.

Don't post questions about real common topics (mileage, flooding, favorite wax, tires, etc) until you have a decent idea of what has been talked about before. If you ignore this, you run the risk of the dreaded "newbie flaming".

But if you have any intelligent question and show some respect for other people's time and attention, you'll be very welcome. There are some highly knowledgeable and experienced rotary owners, racers, mechanics on here as regulars.

There are other RX-8 and rotary forums out there, and they aren't hard to find, but this is the biggest, best, and easiest to navigate.

Welcome to the club and to rotary sports motoring. I'm sure you'll love the experience as much as most of us.
