Keyed Car Club

So this morning I go out of my apartment building to go to work and my whole car is keyed... ( they used a razor blade according to body shop guy) so i get some paint and attempt to paint it. Not only does the pain not completely match but it looks like ****. So I go to the body shop and the guy says best thing is to paint the whole section that's messed up so i am trying to figure out.

WHAT COLOR SHOULD I PAINT MY RX8?

First things first, that is messed up on whoever did it. Secondly, do you have any enemies or anybody who don't like you or something? Anyway, you don't have to answer that, but the best way to fix it the right way is to paint the whole section were the damage is at. If your planning to just paint the whole car with a different color, then blue is my choice. It's really up to you anyway and hope you'll find out who did this stupid thing to your car. Good luck.

Wow..I had the same **** happen to me on my truck. Not good.
Question. You Painting it yourself or is a body shop doing it? If your doing it just paint it the same color it is then it all matches already...your jams, under the hood, trunk. If a shop is doing it id say a dark blue, Midnight Blue is my favorite looks good on any wheel choice.

PS Id watch out if your going to repaint it this soon after it happened. Sure they wont do it again? Got anything planned to prevent it?

Monchie you don't always have to have enemies to get your car keyed. My mom had her car keyed the whole way around right down to the metal for no apparent reason while she was in some store shopping. Its expensive to do a quality paint job on the whole car when that happens.

^My mom had someone take a bat to her car, bash the roof down, the C pillars down, and destroy the glass. The car was almost totalled out, any more damage and it would've been, it was so close. She has no enemies what so ever, but with gangs and wanna-be gangs in the area, they loved to **** up whatever they could for no apparent reason.

That's horrible.. If you're getting the entire 8 painted, make sure it's done so everything matches if you change colors, that'd end up being more expensive obviously.

Is vandalism covered by your insurance policy? If so, get a professional to repaint it.

wrong, they have a reason.

the reason is that ---- they know they will not be able to afford anything decent except that pos Geo Metro or 1985 Civic their parents bought them 10 yrs ago, and deep down they know this will stay the same for the rest of their pathetic life. Jealously builds up, and there u go.

******** like these are perfect example

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9qIe...layer_embedded

They go thru the whole stupid process just to get to ride on a bike for maybe 30 seconds or so. talk about morons ?

I got keyed too. I didn't even bother to re-paint it. at least not now. I'm going to do a complete make over when I have the time (and $$$ lol)

I see well I went to a couple shops today to try and figure out pricing I also filed a claim with my insurance I have full comprehensive coverage. At the end of filing my claim it said that they would do an estimate and that I could just take a check for the damages, Which sounds tempting. But i am thinking blue or Shinka Black Cherry if that's possible

I would advise him to paint the whole thing. I hate half painting cars because there is almost ALWAYS over spray. Then it could possibly not match depending on the skill of the painter and the fade of the paint. To much hassle. Or atleast that's my experience with half painted cars.

Painting isn't to bad. You just need to make sure they can buff. The guy that done mine has spots to the metal, and some spots burnt.

That sucks dude. I had my car keyed a few months ago. I was able to buff most of it out but you can still see it if you really look for it. :/

as far as buffing it was a no go i took it to the body shop and he said i would have to get each quarter panel that was keyed (razor bladed) repainted because the paint wouldnt be flush in that area and you would be able to tell by lookinga t different angles.
