Cool Killed a Wabbit.....

With deepest apologies to Bunnygirl.....

An enormous rabbit/hare decided to bolt from the snowbank just as I passed....I slammed into it at "highway speed" and later found its lifeless body jammed firmly into the radiator mesh.

Darn thing was the size of a large cat or small dog, and it did plenty of damage - smashed all the plastic that holds the bottom air tray thing up, ripped the "V" that holds the front rotary symbol right off, and worst of all broke the bottom of the main grille of the bumper, right in two.

I have lots of sympathy for the dear departed rabbit, now so much crow food, but my poor car looks like a drooling idiot, with it's teeth knocked out and its lower jaw drooping! I had to tie it up with crappy lookin black tie-wraps....eeewwww!

I guess I'll fix it when the weather climbs back up to freezing, in May

Damn that sucks about your car. I wonder if his insurance will pay for it!

If he didn't want to get hit, he shouldn't have been playing in the road. Make a nice fur purse out of it for your significant other! Mine would love it.

I hit a jackrabbit a while back and he took out my foglight assembly. He went well with dumplings though. :-)

Cool Mesh.....

Yes, screens on the coolers are essential. I've had a stainless screen over the a/c condensor since week-one.

....but now it's full of wabbit parts/fur

Don't you have to take off the entire nose to put the screens on?

Cool Nope....

The Racing Beat ones are big and solid, my home made mesh is more like a roll of chain-mail, I put it in rolled up, then fastened it in place.

Dont worry.

Yes you killed one, but there are thousands and thousands of Wabbits out there for you to own.

So no worries !

Amen.
