uhh...i presume your speaking about red-light kill stories.
because the rx8 would mash alot of cars around the road course.![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
and yes, we are the only smart ones out of the bunch.

I know STREET racing is stupid, but are Rx8 owners the only smart ones driving out there? :D
But of course we've got a ligitamate competition board. which has 100 times more respect than street racing.

I visited the Dodge/SRT-4 forum because I heard they were flaming our 8 in their Kill Section....
"just being nosy".
They're all full of their-selves.... They get wood because they are "faster" then our A/T.
All I can say is "the 8 looks sweeter losing then does the SRT winning
"
Our brothers at RX7club.com do have a "Kill Section"...
probably because the 3rd generation has a little more "kill" savvy then our 8...
Any-who... I'm still not a fan of XS speed on the street...
(even after receiving a butt chewing from a few members on this forum...)

They're doing it anyway. So they must have SOME legal right.

I think Bill has it right. Unless there's specific wording in the warranty that specifies they can void it for racing, they probably are bluffing. And they probably hope the owner will fall for it.
(If they can prove a driver is regularly dumping the cluth at high revs, it might count as abuse that is not covered, though.)
Mods, of course, are a different matter.

I beleive the problem is that the warranty is only good under "normal" conditions. Racing is considered abuse of the car, and not "normal" wear and tear. Hence the voiding of the warranty.

Good point. A "normal use" provision probably would do it.
Now, if you've bought an SRT, maybe you could argue that the way it's marketed invites and implies high-speed use, but that would be a matter for the lawyers. Bottom line: don't race or mod until it's out of warranty.

Now, on the other hand, if the manufacturer can prove (based on an independent opinion) that there is excessive wear due to abuse, that's another matter. But alone the bragging on a forum is no proof whatsoever.
