knocking?

I just bought my RX8 3 days ago and i am hearing something underneath the car. there is some sort of interval knocking just under my seat. it is a kind of knock when the fan in the engine turns on and it happens when i am in neutral without any gears on. i tried listening to it under the car and it is somewhere in the middle. can anyone tell me something about this?

Not sure what it is, but if you hear knocking you should for sure take it into a dealer to have it checked out.

Could be a trainy mount. Did you buy it used? Maybe someone was mod'ing it an somethings loose under there.

i bought my rx 8 6-speed brand new. i phoned a mazda mechanic and described my concern about the knocking and he said that it could possibly be the catalytic converter. he suspected that maybe my petrol was not the "premium". the only thing is that the dealership gave me a complimentary full tank when i bought it and i couldn't tell. i refilled my tank now and i will be observing it more. i do not know anything about the throw-out bearing, though.
