L/M Flash question

I know of the test where you pump the brake pedal to determine whether you have the L flash...

What I want to know is:

1. If you have the M flash will this test still work

2. Is there another test to find out if you have the M

I got the car a month ago and want to see if they have done it already

1, Test works for L or higher.
2, NO, ask the dealer they can tell

what is the build date? Look at the sticker on the drivers side door sill. After 4/2004 will be M-Flash.

build date was 9/03...I wanted to know if the dealer performed the flash on the cars that were on the lot (I'm assuming it was there since i bought it 10/04) but i'm assuming they didn't because they are lazy

The dealer would not have flashed a car on the lot. Go to this post

Print out the two images and on your next regular visit to the dealer show it to them. Driving around on the J-Flash is not a big deal so long as to do not shut down a cold motor.

I believe MSP04 says to flash every car to M flash including existing inventory - my car was flashed before I bought it.
