CT Last day for the -8

It's a sad day. My wife is trading in her '04 RX-8 for a CPO BMW X3. We're expecting twins and we really needed a more "practical" car...something to fit all their stuff. I would had loved to keep it, but I just can't justify have 5 vehicles. I may just have to get another one someday when the kids are a little older to go along with the '94 FD. Maybe by then it will have the 16x.....

Why bother posting? Now you can go lurk on an X3 site.

sorry to see the 8 go. I'm the opposite. I was driving a minivan for 10 years, until it crapped out on me. Now that the kids are older, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves with a "nice" car. Didn't realize what we've been missing all this time....

Sorry if I offended you with my one post. Yes, I did join a while ago and have not been an active member but that’s simply because the wasn’t the owner of the car, I didn’t get to drive it more than 10% of the time and we didn’t have any serious issues in the 5+ years and ~67k miles that my wife owned. She bought it before we were married and the car was her daily driver, so she wasn’t into doing any performance upgrades, so really, what did I have to say? That said, I did occasionally check the forum to see what others thought of their cars and what issues people were having. So call me a lurker if it makes you feel better.

I’m a big fan of rotary engine cars. I have a 94 montego blue FD with 63k mi that I had since ’97. It’s in pretty nice shape. I purposely keep it stock just because there are so few unmodified cars left. I’m a member of the RX-7Club and I’ve been more active there, plus my wife and I have also attended some of the rotary meets in CT. But honestly, I have too much going on to spend a lot of time in any forum.

All these different groups are fantastic and there’s so much info out there to share. The -7Club helped me numerous times with various issues I’ve had with my car. I know you guys do the same for the 8 owners.
That’s really all I have to say in the subject. Hope you all continue to support and promote the RX-8 and all rotary engine vehicles. I know I will.
