NO !!! We have to get people to buy Rotaries man. I hate the fact that when you have a car .. and they don't make it anymore. Some might like it,, cause its rare i guess. But it makes the car seem old and not good enough to be continued.

Momentum Keeps Me Going
The car platform was supposed to be built for a 10 yr production run....so let's see....the car was 1st delivered July 03....so I'd speculate the last year of production would be '12 sold as a '13 model.

I've seen this car with my own eyes this summer in Montreal on Gilles Villeneuve racetrack... Seriously... it had one of the craziest sound I've ever heard... Closest thing to a F1 that I've header...
shiiiiiit..... once again.... Got hard just thinking of it.... hummm... I'll be back in a minute........

Wasn't there an article posted on here that stated 2011 would be the last model year?
But if that's true, don't get your hopes up that the next rotary car will immediately follow. There's no way that's happening.

There are numerous minor improvements, a few of which should make the engine more reliable. There was an attempt to give the feel of increased performance by changine the ratio, but tests show that this actually slows the car down very slightly in 0-60 times and fuel consumption. But no one should buy an RX-8 for impressive 0-60 times or fuel consumption, of course! I would recommend the 09+ if you want a newer car, but you can get some awfully good deals on a used RX-8 because they depreciate so quickly. If you can find a very low mileage '08 or older, and if you prefer the older styling details, don't worry too much about reliability. As long as you take good care of your car (check the oil frequently, premix), reliability should be just fine. But I would not recommend a high mileage used RX-8.
