Where is the side by side pictures of the Rx-8 silver and the Miata SE tit Grey??

the cars were about 35 feet away form each other... no side by side could have been had.. : (

Ive never had to choose a colour of a car before without seeing it in the flesh. Ive looked at hundreds of pictures and still cant make up my mind.

One day I think I want black, then titanium and today Ive been looking at the red again as it looks good in some of the photo's.

The problem is not knowing how accurate the pics are, with indoor lighting, white balance etc etc as they all look so different. If i didnt know better I would swear there a 3 different red's available.

There are only 4 colours for us poor UK guys and here is my thoughts on all of them:

Red - for - looks great in some pics (not others), mica paint, only colour available with 2 tone interior
against - possibly to loud, attracts too much attention, will it be too common

Black - for - looks good in pics of car with styling kit, no extra cost
against - possibly too dark with black leather, not metallic, gets dirty easily

Tit - for - understated colour, metallic, wont show dirt
against - is it too dark?, a bit dull?

Silver - for - metallic and will keep clean, goes with black leather
against - too light, too many silver cars about

Well having put that all down Im still none the wiser, and I have to decide in the next couple of weeks.

I wish I could see them in the flesh!

100% agree MarkW with your colour conclusions.

Black is out.

I like some of the vel red I see but fear it will be too light.

Grey Tit I like in showroom pictures but may be too dark outside away from lights.

I think it may have to be silver although it is a popular colour.

Saw the red at recent car show in DC- it looked about the same red as my old Miata-red/orange.

Velocity Red Mica.

Its like a bright like Ferrari Roso Red but has a gold metallic flake in it.

Looks abosolutely mean.

Also if you have the Mazda two its the same as spicy orange but red but still have the gold flake.

I'll post a picture of the RX-8 for ya in velocity red.

Was the red rx8 at the Detroit auto show true to the production colour?

Both Quick_lude and I were very disappointed when we saw it in Detroit. The Detroit car was too dark and had a lot of burgundy in the red. I just did not think that it looked anything like the reds you see here posted in the forum.
