when i launch the car at 4000 rpm then the 0-60 is 7 sec and when i launch it at 8500 rpm then i guess that the car looses a little power. so is it more preferable to launch the car at low rpm to get more power. or what is the best rpm to launch the car to get best 0-60. plz help. or can anyone explain that how to lauch the car the best. plz help. thankx in advance

 

In general, you want the point where the car makes the most power without spinning the wheels. You cant get more detailed than that because everyone lets the clutch out in different ways. personally I think around 5500-6500 is best as thats twhere peak torque is made.

You have a 5MT, you will be slower, 7 seconds sound about right.

oh also if you want to replace your transmission sooner, keep doing these stupid launches .

 

I launch mine at about 4k and feather the clutch up to auzoom's range for max tq, then let it go and stomp on the gas. I found that if I start out with max torque on the tires I had, the rear wants to spin out and I lose traction.

I also found out that what nycgps said is right: you WILL replace tranny parts sooner. I'm waiting on a Fidanza and Exedy shipment right now...

 

your clutch definitely prefers the 8500rpm launch. that thing is going to last forever

 

Doesn't the 5mt get the low power engine? If so, you should be pretty darn happy with 7 seconds!

 

i prefer to push it just beyond redline before even considering releasing the clutch. i totally take those vipers to school when i launch like that.

 

Nothing better than a 9k rpm launch!

I just ease the clutch out... but launch gets canceled if the weather isnt perfect enough.

Ok, easiest way to launch is to just spray some bleach on your tires. Then go!

 

a JATO is the easiest way.
