LED Display Issue?

Yes I did a search, I didn't see this particular issue. Once in a while, usually when I start the car after it has been off for a short while, The LED display for the radio/temp/clock will turn on completely, meaning every LED lit. Then after a while it goes back to normal. Anyone else see this? It is not like the other threads where it was displaying random characters. And it doesn't seem to based on temperature. I'd like to bring it to the dealer but the odds of it happening while its there are slim.

It may not be based on Temp but it is the same issue I had on mine I'm pretty sure. They tried about 6 times to fix it, last time may have been the charm. They fixed a loose pin on the wire harness once, put 2 or 3 new LED displays in and finally replaced the front panel of the radio. Not the radio itself but the front control panel that interfaces to the units behind. I haven't had a problem since but mine always appeared on hot days. It will be a few months before it gets hot again. If your dealer is good then they will take a look no matter, mine did, although I also brought a picture just in case.

They told me that MAZDA said it was 1 of 2 possibles, the display or the radio control panel. Might want to suggest the call since more than one has failed. I hope that helps.

I'm betting its not the display but the board behind the volume ****. It fixed mine and has not been a problem since. Otherwise its a loose wire. I think this is a bus system so if one part in the bus is screwed up it hurts all. Just keep going back and see if they can fix it.
