why not?

My 04 has 72K miles and runs better than the day I bought it.....literally.

On engine 1 BTW. Im completely confident my 8 will hit 100K without needing a rebuild.

An 04 with 60-70K for under 10 grand is an awesome deal!

gas does sound like a pain in the ***, and i do have more money than 10 but my parents just dont want me to spend it.. so i was figuring if i bought an 8 for that much ill have plenty of gas money till summer when i work.

But if an 8 for that much is really that much crap.. i dunno. Guess ill just have to wait till someone has a rockin deal ..

I think insurance on the 240 would be higher than the 8 right? coupe bigger engine..

If everything goes south anyone got recommendations for a different option?

Ive pretty much looked at everything as i said before, but what if there is some secretly satisfying, but not as satisfying as an 8 car out there

Well the gas is something you need to deal with when you buy an 8. Just make sure you have a good job, work somewhere where you make tips. That way you walk away with gas money every time you work.

Most sports cars will cost more to insure than the 8. The 8 is considered a "four dour coupe" by insurance companies, which is a good thing.

If you buy your 8 with a warranty on the engine, I really wouldn't worry. And don't all RX8's come with an 8 year / 100,000 mile warranty on the engine? That covers you for awhile

If your gonna spend 10k on a 04 with 70k why not pony up a little extra and find something with lower mileage. And yes your car is running great which is awesome but....then theres people like me who bought used and are 100% reman.

Got my 04 61k miles for 11, 900. TTL included, great prices, check out auto-trader good things on there.

And as far as insurance goes, I'm 21 on my own policy, and I'm paying $1272 per year. Also thats with 6 speeding tickets under my belt. It depends on where you live, and how much coverage you want on your 8. Also, gas is a bitch, so just remember to keep your car in perfect working order to get the best possible gas mileage out of it!

//EDIT
Also remember to drive the **** out of it!
