All the problems you listed are hardly what I consider reliability issues.

You're right.

They are flaws in what could have been an incredible car.

Pondering what an Evo is really. I decided to Google it. Perhaps you'll need this link

http://www.mitsubishisucks.com/

Just joking ya but It was on the first page. 7th link

Evo is 2 star side impact ya know, so do be careful. From the same site.

How serious is side impact issue in real life?
In 1999, about 8000 fatalities happened because of side collisions. In its "2002 Annual Assessment of Motor Vehicle Crashes" report NHTSA asserted that

Two-vehicle crashes involving a passenger car and a LTV (includes pickup truck, SUV and VAN) show that when a car was struck in the side by an LTV, the car occupants were 20.8 times as likely to be fatally injured.

20.8 times as likely to be fatally injured...(in front-collision it is 3.3 times)

The 8 appears to be 4 stars

Get an STI, better interior a bit cheaper then 35k.

Good luck Bart!

Winter isn't a problem (AWD vehicles need all-season or snow tires too), my RX8 has never flooded, and fuel/oil consumption are not reliability issues. On the contrary, if there's any vehicle you can rely on to suck down a lot of fuel and oil, it's the RX-8

In any case, the EVO is a kick-*** car... enjoy it and good luck to you!

I would agree, better around town driving also because of the larger engine and Subaru's are more reliable in general then Mitsubishi.

No, there is no question that I could afford one, just rather not waste my money on such a POS.

No matter what they do to these cars they will always be riced out econo box Lancers. Same goes for those little Neons too.

Just making a statement even if it was in response to your use of a movie quote.

Probably shouldn't surprise me Ike that you have the F&F memorized.
