I've seen a couple of posts on the "little things" thread about lights on the bottoms of the side-view mirrors, and that they light up when you open the door. My GT doesn't have them, and I'm wondering if I read the posts wrong.

I asked about it when I had my car in recently and the service guy looked, said, "no, you don't have them" and said that they only come on some models. Seemed that he'd never heard about them, and just gave me a convenient answer.

Does anybody have these lights?

 

i dont got em. but i did read about em on "the little things" also...i was sad that i didnt have em...also sad about the climate control.... its all go0d tho...still love my 8!!

 

For the 2004 US models there is no climate control or little lights with the side mirrors.

I am not sure of the 2005 or the Shinka regarding the lights but I do no that climate control is NOT a feature in the US models

I know for the Japanese version of the vehicle, they do have climate control.

 

the door light under the side view mirrors, as well as auto climate control, are not available in north american market... only Europe and Asia got them

 

Why do they DO that? What are we, lepers?

yup. lepers that aren't worthy of auto climate control or strato mica blue

 

But we are worthy of dual oil coolers. Take what you can get.

Do you have heated mirror - My mirror demist when pushing the demist buttom

You don't have side mirror light or the climate control.

We don't have seat heater, sat nav, 2nd oil cooler and rear fog light as options. I have done the last 2 by shipping parts from Japan :o

 

We don't get headlight washers either, but I don't really want them. And I heard the climate control sucks anyway.

So it goes. I love the dual oil coolers.

 

Heated mirrors and heated seats are included in the GT package... Very nice on a humid cool day.

 

Is there a thread that compares the subtle differences in the RX8 offerings between major markets

There are four markets I can think of...

North America (with slight differences in Canadian and US models)
Euorpean (with slight differences in UK and Continental models)
Australia/NZ/Oceania (with slight differences in their respecitve countries)
Japan and Far East (not sure if this is one or two markets)
