Little over a week of ownership

And I have to say I love the car. I haven't owned a car for over 7 years, always drive trucks, big tires, lockers, off road trucks. Still have my ridiculously modified Ranger, and still have my Super Duty, but got the RX-8 for better gas milage and always wanted one. I have to say this thing is great. Comfortable, beautiful, and my worst tank has been 18mpg, with plenty of high rev driving. Cuple of things.

1. For me the mileage is great, my SD gets about 10mpg with a V10.
2. This thing is PLENTY fast for me, no more power needed.
3. 6th should be taller, it's a cruising gear, not an acceleration gear.
4. At only 6' tall my head almost touchs the ceiling, but who cares.

All in all, no complaints. Glad I bought it and thanks for all the great info, as I've researched the car on this site for months. Look forward to posting more as time goes by.

YEA!!!!! a person not complaining about the gas mileage on the rx-8! and there's actually been a bit of talk about 6th the past few days, and basically the concensus is that 6th should be taller.

congrats on the purchase, i've had my 8 for 6months now, and love it as much now as the first time i drove it.

oh, nice to see another 8 in the area. check out the SE forum and watch for things happening locally.

Drive it hard and watch the RX-8 gas mileage drop to twelve.

Actually, I have never dipped below 16 but I am considered one of the lucky ones.

I guess compared to trucks, this car is a major improvement in gas mileage.

BTW, I am now averaging around 20.5 MPG. Expect between 15-21 but not much higher...

Other than that, it is a fab piece of engineering... :D

ENJOY

Wasn't complaining ... Just a warning... I have learned to live with it. The price for ownership of the RX8...

However, if you still like, I will strike my head on a nearby book...

I though RSD punishments included pitchforks or lakes of fire... PITY!!!

(BTW, Like the PB&J reference)

The name is part acronym... Perhaps start a thread to figure out what does the PSB stand for...

Great to have you on board as a member. Check out the Southeast Forum. We GA boys love our 8's too. If you're near Savannah, we'd love to see you at Roebling Road at the end of this month.

Mine is easy. I've been studying Italian. Utente is Italian for User, so it's my user name.
