locking nuts?
I bought my car used about 3 weeks ago. I am planning on getting new tires and rims but i noticed today that every wheel has a different nut that i am guessing to be a locking nut. I have a GT and is this standard b/c they already done tire work at the dealership. Is this universal and or did the previous owner add these.

Mine was in the glove compartment, and I never took it out of there. Be careful with it, because I stripped my key the last time I put em on. I think mazda has all the keys, and I'm debating what to do, I'll probly just have them take them off and get regular lugs.

Ditto - search the car and try to find the key for the wheel locks. If it's not in there demand the dealership who sold you the car produce the key or remove the locks at their cost (with no damage to your rims).
My additional recommendation - get a spare key for your wheel locks: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/broken-lug-adapter-buy-spares-early-88087/
