thanks! didnt know there was a recall on that! there is alot of recalls for this car! i brought my car in a few weeks ago and they did the following recalls: reflash computer, rear brakes, gas tank, control arm, and new plugs!! they did a few other small things but i cant remember but this is the MOST recalls i had on any of my past cars and i had over 13(cars) in 5 years lol
still love my rx8 the best!

it's not a recall (not mandatory). just a service bulletin fix. to fix any minor problems that come along the way.

Do you have the new starter TSB? After the TSB mine almost always starts nearly the second I turn the key. Once in a great while (like, once every 2 months? maybe?) it will turn over a time or two before it starts.

Got my baby "Used" so I have no clue.. when I get the recall done (come on letter arrive) I'll ask them to take a look at it. And thanks Ch1s

10 min to change a starter?
Any way NgoRX8 is right. It's not a recall but a service bulletin fix. I still think it should have been a recall. I would have robbed that bank a lot faster lol

Well when mazda replaced my starter it was 115 out so I guess they had to wait a hour and a half for it to cool off befor they can remove it. Then again they always do the report card and that takes time too.

it's part of a TSB, you complain to your dealer about your slow-to-start problem, and they'll replace your starter, spark plugs, and battery, all free of charge

gotta love having a warranty

just dropped mine off this morning at the dealer for this same issue. didn't happen often before they did the emmission recall on the 8. Did any of you experience anything unusual after the emission recall?

A starter is part of the new recall. You just need to specifically mention it...

I think my engines going, i had to get a jumpstart today at the gas station. It would crank and crank and crank but no catch :[
