You mean engine transmission. I'm talking about the little **** that always comes up I bought the extended warranty to be on safe side.
So Jason any advice I mean its a good car think I should go with it.

Check out this thread for the straight scoop on all the things you may or may not have heard about the RX-8:

Also look at the FAQs stickied at the top of the fora. Have the car checked out by a good dealer, including a compression check.
It's only the engine core that's warranted for 100k. Bumper-to-bumper warranty on an '07 is 3 years, 36k. There's a longer drivetrain warranty...not sure how long it is for an '07.

With a 2007 you really shouldn't have to worry too much about flooding. As long as the spark plugs, starter, etc are all in good shape there is not a very big change of it flooding..... Plus, they only really flood if you shut them off before you let the engine warm up. So as long as you don't do that, it won't flood....
Do an advanced search. Put it on "Search Titles Only". And type in the word flooding.... That will give you more than enough info on what you're looking for.
Let us know if you get it!

Thanks for info I'm suppose to pick the car up tomorrow night and am worried lol. Just seems like a lot of **** happens to this car I know you have to do little more things to a sports car but it just seems like there is more kid gloves with this car.
So I need all of your honest opinions on what I should do . Do you guys and gals really love this car and is the promblem's minimal I still have time to cancel and I'm truely not 100 percent sold thanks

Well, it is a very good driving car. If you don't beat it I doubt you will have too many problems. There are 50k miles on my 06 and I have no issues. I get 20 mpg mixed driving and just have done normal maintenance.

Yes, I really do LOVE this car. Before I got it I had some of the same concerns that you are having, but at this point I extremely glad I decided to get it.... The main issues that you hear about are rare and minimal enough that they definitely shouldn't keep you from buying the car...
Keep in mind, for every person that you hear about having a problem with their 8, there are tons that have no problems, who you just don't hear from. People don't usually make posts saying "hey, my car went another month without having any engine problems", which is the reason it seems like there is so much negative feedback on the cars. But for every unhappy RX-8 owner there are a whole lot of very happy ones, myself included.
So, if it isn't already obvious, my advice is..... Get an 8!

But seriously, beat on the engine. Don't make yours one of those that is babied to death. These engines need to be REVED, and REVED HARD. Drop a gear or 4 and punch it from time to time, all the way to redline. Then let off and shift. Don't hold it there and overheat it, but it needs to be under full throttle, in gear, and in the beep zone. At least from time to time. I do it regularly
Get your beep on!

Seriously, if you haven't read that thread yet, it addresses most of your concerns.

Well your right... You to red line it once a day, check oil every 3rd or 4th fill up, wash and wax her.
And..........
When it comes time for brakes;
You have to court her, take her out to dinner, then out to a lonely road at nigt and bed her.

Pics or it didn't happen.
My car is at 70K Miles on an 05 engine and running just fine.
Gas mileage in sports cars of any kind sucks.
Don't force the transmission and you wont tear up your transmission gates.
The body of these cars damages extremely easy so get a clear bra if its got flawless paint now.
You have a ton of reading to do so good luck.
