Love this car! Been perfect...And a great auto x run!

I recently bought an 05' with 26K miles on it. Over 29K on it now (1350 coming home from KS to Florida). It is not my daily driver, but it is so much fun to drive. The car has been FLAWLESS. Not a stumble. Hope I don't jinx it! LOL!

I have replaced the front rotors / pads...And just did my first auto x with it. Got a second place behind a Boss 5.0. Not too bad for the first run.

Really like this car!!

A link to my run (default mic level was too low - Will raise for the next one):

And a ride along with another guy in a twin turbo RX7:

word of advice.... always keep both hands on the wheel when racing. Not just from a safety perspective, but it will allow you to feel the car a lot better and take more controlled turns. Also get out of the habit of underhanding the steering wheel on tight turns . Other than that keep it up!

Holy helmet cam! I got kinda dizzy. Do you have the means to do a solid mount on the car?

Thanks for the advice...I will work on that...Actually going to do an auto x school they are holding. That should help. I am a former motorcycle road racer (12 years / AMA Pro and now a dirt hare scramble racer)...With ZERO car experience...A lot to learn!

In regards to the helmet cam mount...I will pick a new mount up. That is just a mount I had for my motorcycle helmets. If you think that is dizzying, check out some of my hare scramble vids! LOL!!!

Couple of thoughts to add...

When shifting I am not sure how I would keep both hands on the wheel. I do not have an auto trans.

And this is an auto x. Most of the time I was not doing over 40 mph. I think from a safety standpoint here anyway, we are OK. LOL! From a proper driving standpoint, I know I have plenty to work on!! Thanks for the advice!!
