Maybe they were on their way somewhere else and you were just "small potatoes?"

If whomever broke into your friend's truck is on this forum, I'd worry about them subs now...

How old are you man? When you say "school," do you mean High School?

When I was a patrolman, I had two radar units. One in front and one in back. I could catch people coming or going.

I was a nice guy though. I didn't pull anyone over until they were 15+ and even then I didn't always write a ticket. It all depended on their attitude and driving record.

NY State

Travelling through NY State this past weekend and the Troopers were certainly out in force with it being the end of the month. From CT border along I-84 up through RT17 to Roscoe there were over 20, and thats just the ones I saw. My radar detector was going crazy. Best was I-84 right after Newburgh where 4 troopers had 4 cars pulled over.
Rule of thumb with NYS is always be careful at the end of the month! Only time I use cruise control when heading that way.

rt 17 isnt bad except for the end of the month for sure. then you see the speed traps with cops standing on the bridges with either radar or lidar and the squad car ready 2 go pulled over on the on ramp.

I got pulled over on Hwy 217 for doing 5 over the limit at 2am once. Mostly I think they are looking for drunk drivers headed home after the bars close. He checked out my license, and didn't even care that I had lost my registration. He let me go with a warning after seeing I had no record and wasn't drinking.

Its a good thing he didn't see me doing 105 about 20 minutes prior.
