M flash

This is my first post; I would like to start of saying that this website is great! I got my 8 two weeks ago. I don't want to say that I was disappointed. The car is AWESOME, and it defiantly turns heads. 239 HP...I'm not so sure about that Anyway, to the point...I've seen a lot about the L and M flash. I have done the brake test and checked my VIN. Looks like I have the "k". I'm taking my car to the dealership tomorrow to try and get the "M'. Does anyone know what difference (if any) I should expect? This is all taking for granted that the dealership actually does it for me. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks again. Matt

Welcome to the board!

Check out canzoomer's overview of what the L flash does:

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=24982

Lot of information in that thread.

And check this thread as well:

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=21909

And as for the M flash, I quote canzoomer:

"Got the flash updates done last Thursday.

Turns out there is no "M" flash. This flash just included some regional updates, and a couple of minor fixes for small bugs.

No change to things that affect power or mileage."

I saw in one of the other threads someone stated a 13.5% increase in HP from "k" to "L" is that accurate? Or would I be getting my hopes up in believing that comment? Seems a little too good to be true...
