M-flash in Canada

So I'm picking up my new RX-8 this Friday, and asked whether the service guys can make sure the latest and greatest PCM-calibration is completed. I even told them to use the M-flash.

I showed him a Service Bulletin (found off this board), and the guy insisted that it's strictly available in the US, and that Canadian Service Bullitens generally take 2-3 weeks longer to release. He said he would put the latest update on, but couldn't even guarantee that would be L-flash. The car was manufactured in Nov, 2003. He further explained that as a policy they do not flash the on-boards unless the car is showing the symptoms described in the bulletin.

Anyone in Canada know what is the latest revision # available and have better luck?

TIA.

If you havent accepted delivery yet, I would say "put the latest flash on it or I will not take delivery. Your sale guy will make it happen, Once you take the car off the lots you have very little leverage.

My car is in at the dealer (in Calgary) right now for the recalls and a re-flash. I handed them the TSB when they said "we'll see if it needs it", and I told them that every RX-8 needs it, and read them the paragraph where it instructs that every car that comes in for service must have the latest flash applied (I'd already highlighted it). They said "Oh, OK, we haven't seen this one yet" - when I talked to them on the phone just now, they said they re-programmed it. I will try to find out what version when I pick it up!

Regards,
Gordon
