Marbles in a can survivor
so my motor finally kicked the bucket after being a victim of the "Marbles in a can" for so long. Mazda replaced my motor for free under warranty. and I couldn't be happier. my car is running better than ever. Glad that I have a good dealership hear in town. Got my car back after 2 days. I think there is a corperate office near by, which means better service usually.

My car ran the first 20K without this detonation problem then I got the MIAC. I then started using Prem-gas all the time and it was fine. What is the history of your car? Year,model,transmission,miles,reg-prem-gas history, service, plugs, filters, anything you can remember. What is your location, it's not stated next to your icon. I also did the throttle body mod (it took one minute to do)and it helped allot.

I am the 2nd owner. The car is a 2004, AT, 45K miles. Her name is Eight but I call her 8. I drive hard as hell (like you are supposed to) on premium gas (like your supposed to).
Old motor had no new plugs that I can tell. I was about to get them actually. driven hard. regular 3k oil changes. new starter. marbles in a can when slowly climbing to higher RPM was very obvious.
Happy to be rollin again so quick
Only bad part was they stuck me in a loaner Mazda3 that was PURPLE. The guy called it Black Cherry. But it even said Purple on the key tag.

Wow...two days is fast. I've got the same MIAC problem myself. Dealer says they can't hear it and keep telling me to use Premium...despite the fact I've repeatedly told them I use no less than 93 octane. Plugs replaced, noise still there. Here's hoping my experience goes as well as yours when mine finally blows up...and that it happens while still under warranty.
