Maximum Speed per gear?

Maximum Speed per gear?
Anyone know the maximum speed per gear (with drag) at 9k RPMs? If so, I would appreciate it if you post them.
I know third is around 97mph but not sure on the rest of the gears.

Drag has nothing to do with the relationship between engine speed and vehicle translational speed. The numbers above look right to me, with the exception of 6th gear. The speed listed for 6th gear doesn't correspond to 9k RPM, rather it is probably the drag-limited max speed.

It is interesting that 5th and 6th are roughly the same speed. I am assuming 6th is geared higher and is basically a good gas mileage gear?
Does the ECU actually cut you off at 148 ot 155? I remember reading several that stated the cut off was at 155 but maybe than was with the original 250hp version.

I have only had more car for two weeks and the fastest I have had it is 110 so far.
I had my S2000 to 146 (top up) and I had to slow down.
The S2000 pulls great up to about 130 and then it is slower going to the true top ends.
My guess is that the 8 pulls slow above 130 or so but I dont know for a fact.

Tried changing to 6th, but lost a little speed - back to 5th, but couldn't get any faster. :o

You can't do 9000RPM in 6th gear. It maxes out at 148.

This has been dealt with in several other threads, and in none of those have I seen anyone present any evidence that the RX-8 is electronically limited to 148 mph. And many people claim to have gone faster.
I think the 148 mph limiter is a myth. Top speed is drag limited.
