Mazda Europe
Hey guys,
May or may not be of interest to most of you (in the US) but Mazda Europe have consumed Mazda Ireland in the last few months and that means they've knocked about $5,000 off the list prices of each of the models here in Ireland. The Comfort is now $50,000 and the Exclusive is about $57,500. Great news for new owners, sh*t news for anyone in the resale market!
Just FYI.

Hi,
Was about to buy a 1 yr old comfort but if this is true then I could get a brand new one for the same money. I knew Mazda Europe had taken over but wasn't aware of such a drastic price drop. Where did you see this? Everywhere I look up still has the cars at the prices they were before Europe took over, i.e. €41,500ish for the comfort?

We get screwed over here on new cars. The base price isn't too bad but then our government adds on around 30% for "vehicle registration tax". And then if that wasn't bad enough they then add on sales tax of another 21% on top of that.
We have some of the most expensive retail prices for cars in the world.
and we won't even mention the fuel charges. Owning an rx8 over here is a big lifestyle choice, i.e. it the RX8 or a life!
