Trying to decide which color looks best on this car...black is very classic but gets dirty fast...silver,to many cars are silver, yellow is really cool (flashy),red is pretty much what i was thinking of going for, blue i find is a little to light makes it look to much like a toy(no offence blue car owners. What do you people suggest or find about these colors.

Do a search for the color regrets thread. You can get some info from there I think.
I've always had black cars and for some reason I'd get silver if I had to do it again.
It shows the 8's beautiful lines much better than black.
Go to a dealer that has alot of colors and just stare at them for an hour. You'll decide.
Good luck !

I always have silver cars whether or not I had the choice or not; even before it got popular as we have seen lately. For me silver on my 8 worked out well since it is hard to notice when is dirty. A bit darker silver (between silver and titanium gray) would be nice as well.

Silver!!
White will also be nice. I also like Black, but I've had one too many black cars to keep clean and "non-swirled".
Go walk around the lot and see which one holds tour attention the most. It's very much up to personal preference.

I like the Grey, but they're pretty common (for 8's anyway). Yellow was my next choice, and I found that the Red's actually pretty nice. I'm never buying another black car again... to easy to see the dirt. (not that I'm going to not keep my 8 clean... bah you get what I mean).

Yellow is a like a limited edition color, as the '04 is the only model year to get that color. Get yours now, its already discontinued in Japan.

Gord96RG,
Do a search on the mazdausa site, there are still yellows available brand new. I found mine that way, picked her up just two days ago.
I've been monitoring the dealers' inventories daily for two months. At least in CT, Titanium has been the top seller. Only a few wacko's buy Yellow or Nordic Green.

The dealer told me that Ti-Grey is the "new silver". Blue is the fastest color, that's why they call it "Winning Blue". It may be "toyish", but the car is a toy. If you're looking for a more serious car, can I suggest the Volvo?

However, the person asking the original question is from Canada, and there's a lot less stock sitting on the dealer lots here, so finding a new yellow at this point could be a very tough prospect.
Jason, I agree, the Titanium Gray up here is probably the most popular RX-8 colour, and lots of the Mazda3s are using it too. Out on the road amongst other cars, though, gray is still a lot less common than all the silver cars out there!
