I looked at a few of those people's websites, and wow that is pure comedy. These are the same type kids that were sitting next to me in the drag strip stands saying how much the 350Z sucks because it didn't come with VTEC.

 

lol... Im 6"1' and have no problem sitting in the backseat. The only person that I have ever seen have a problem is my younger sister, whose legs aren't long enough to reach the floor. She needs a little extra room to be comfortable.


Screwed outta 30k? This guy is obviously a little jealous that his civic isn't fast enough. I mean.. his favorite movies are The Fast and the Furious and the sequal. I just can't see how he can be a true conniseur/ajudicator of cars if he loves a movie where they race to 80, shift into 7th on numerous occasions, and find random imports (the Skyline) in the middle of the desert.

I see these kids as being just like the ricers at my highschool. "My civic is the color of a tangelo, and they told me at the paint shop that adds 50 hp" or "I got boost... " "Really? Turbo or SC?" "Um.. I dunno, it just says bass boost on my dash"

For the life of me, I dont know why the 8 gets dissed but the s2k gets celebrated so much... from a performance standpoint the s2k and the 8 arent that far apart at all...actually very similar... and you end up paying a pretty penny for that small performance difference too.... 10Gs more approximately ($CDN).

 

Basically ricers ballclutch the S2K because it has VTEC--more mature folks like it because it is a roadster that revs freely and is a good autocrosser. With the performance of the cars so close--it comes down to aesthetics in reality.

 

Text messaging may eventually eliminate literacy altogether. :D

RE S2K - it's a GREAT car. Man, is that some fun stuff to drive. One of my best friends is a Honda dealer too - but what eventually killed it for me is that I just can't tolerate having a 2 seater. I was so happy to find similar performance in the RX-8 with room enough for me and my kids!

Also, if the old S2K was so hot, then why is Honda is rumored to be planning to drop it at the end of the 2005 model year (as reported in Car & Driver recently). It's just not selling because it's so specialized.

Well they're different cars for different purposes...for what it is, the RX-7 is an amazing car...and if it werent' for the fact that I need more real world practicality, I would have an RX-7 instead of my 8...

Oh, I was talking about the FD3S. My father has owned both the FC, and currently the FD. The RX-8 is very remniscent of the old NA FC's.
