Mazda rx8 QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a few questions before getting an rx8.
what is the difference between the 05 8 and the 07 rx8.
Why does autotrader, cars, carmax say 2-3 cylinder? whats the difference cause i thought there was no cylinder cause it was a rotary.
Is the 8 safe....getting hit, hitting something, winter, sliding, etc.
thanks!

For year-to-year changes I believe there is a sticky at the top of this sub-forum, or try going to Consumer Guide's used car area.
It says 2-3 cylinders because they have no option on the form to write rotary.
It is a very structurally rigid car, so yes, it's pretty safe. The doors have steel bars that latch closed when the door is closed. I thought that was pretty tight when I read about it.

no difference physically, but depends on maintenance.
they have to fill in something so usually means 2 rotor.
its got very good safety test results but doesn't mean you will be in no danger if you hit a concrete block at 120MPH. and if you gonna drive it in snow, get some snow tires. those are very obvious answers.

when buying a used car it is usually a good idea to buy the newer car. As with all used car purchases it is going to require you to do your due diligence and research the individual car as much as you can.

There's not significant changes between 05-07.... However, if you can find a deal on an 07; I would go that route. 04-05's can be tricky depending on previous maintenance and if it had the engine recall performed.
